About once a year I get the urge to start writing one, and then I end up deciding that I probably won’t update it frequently enough to make it worthwhile. Today, I was getting that urge again. I just wrote some code that I want to share and my first thought was “Hmm…I’ll just post it in my blog”.

This is somewhat difficult when you don’t have one.

One of the blogs I read frequently is by Daniel Jalkut. He’s taken over development of MarsEdit. I keep hearing good things about MarsEdit. Today on Red Sweater Blog I saw this:

“A lot of people I know (especially developers!) tell me that they would use MarsEdit, if only they blogged more. My answer to this chicken-n-egg question is almost always the same. “If you used MarsEdit, you would blog more.” At least, that’s how it works for me.”

I’m guessing this is probably right. So I’m giving MarsEdit a go.
